J N Petit Technical High School, one of the oldest and heritage Schools, was founded by Late Nusserwanjee Maneckjee Petit in 1888, in Lalbaug, Mumbai, in the loving memory of his son, Late Jamshedjee Nusserwanjee Petit, who died that year at the young age of 32.
It was set up with the sole intention of uplifting poor / orphan Zoroastrian boys by imparting quality education and looking after their total welfare.
It was shifted to the plush Bund Garden locality in Pune in the year 1948 and the first Director was Mr. Adam A Mackey.
It houses a unique Residential Section exclusively for Zoroastrian boys, wherein utmost care is taken to ensure overall development of young boys, be it academics, sports or personality development. Besides academics, our Residential Scholars also excel in sports like football, basketball, cricket and athletics. They also participate in the All Parsees Athletic Championships held in Mumbai, every year and win accolades in various events.

Holistic approach is also high on the agenda. Our Residential Scholars regularly attend religious classes under the able guidance of Ervad Minoo M Karkaria and religious exams are conducted yearly, which helps imbibe our religious values, in our young boys.

The Residential Section also houses a Computer Lab, an Entertainment Room, Linen Room and an Infirmary.
Continuous upgradation of facilities and amenities is regularly undertaken to ensure safety and comfort of the boys.
Spacious dormitories are equipped with LED televisions, Godrej lockers, cots, mattresses, lights, fans, Netlon mosquito nets, and so on.
Dressing Rooms are equipped with hot water geysers with 24×7 water supply, individual cubicles for bathing, high end washing machines and clothes dryer machine.
We have an exclusive tie up with the reputed Ruby Hall Clinic wherein our Residential Scholars are treated free of cost, for any eventualities.
Besides attending Day School, our Residential Scholars are given extra coaching by a team of dedicated Evening Tutors.

Keeping in tune with the changing times and the current scenario, online coaching is also conducted through Edusprint+, Zoom Online Classes and Google Classroom.
Educational and entertainment trips are undertaken within and outside Pune for greater exposure.
